2. Web Statistics

Galleri Lofoten AS (Ltd.) collects anonymous information about visitors via Google Analytics. The purpose of this is to develop statistics which we use to improve and further develop the information available on the website. Examples of the questions these statistics provide answers to, are how many people have visited the various pages, how long their visits lasted, which website the visitor came from and what browsers are being used.

The information is dealt with in an anonymous and aggregated form. Anonymous means that we cannot trace the collected information back to the individual user. We collect complete IP addresses, but these are also made anonymous, so that only the first three groups of numbers in the address are used to generate statistics. That is to say that if your IP address consists of the numbers 195.159.103.82, only 195.159.103.XX is used.
